DC Fast - Terra EV

ABB's Terra DC fast chargers are designed for quick, convenient charging of all electric vehicle models, including those equipped with high- voltage battery systems. The Terra’s compact size makes it perfect for public and fleet use, while its modularity allows an increase of charging power up to 180 kW and serves up to three electric vehicles at the same time.

The Terra family of DC fast chargers includes the Terra 24 to the Terra 184 (20 to 180 kW), including the Terra 54 – the most deployed 50 kW charging station across Europe and North America.

The third generation of Terra HP charge post is a modular 175-350 kW high-power charger ideally suited for highway corridor and EV fleet operations.
Infrastructure needs are growing and the demand for faster and higher power is continuously increasing. With ABB Dynamic DC power sharing technology, power cabinets can be connected to charge one vehicle at up to 350 kW and 500 A or two vehicles simultaneously at up to 175 kW and 375 A. The Terra HP generation III charge post offers a premium charging experience with high-output power at low noise levels, a long charge cable with cable retraction system, small footprint of the user unit, and several authentication, payment and customization options

This charger is designed for overhead constructions like roofs, canopies, and truss structures. It is a perfect solution developed for site layouts with a shortage of space around the vehicles. The cable balancer system prevent the cable from drooping or lying on the ground. The cable is simply suspended from the ceiling, can be extended close to the vehicle's inlet, and then retracted back up.

Wall or pedestal mounting – HVC depot box

The HVC depot charge boxes can be mounted on a wall or on a pedestal and are especially designed to charge larger fleets of electric vehicles in its most optimized way with limited footprint:

Sequential charging up to 3 outlet – The Depot box single CCS provide 100 kW - 150 kW power charging, with up to 3 charge post for sequential charging.

The e-mobility EcoFlex HPC is a housing that can
accommodate four to eight 175kW high-power
charging cabinets and up to two withdrawable
charging posts together with a low voltage (LV)
distribution board in a plug-and-play solution.
As a variant, it can accommodate up to eight highpower charging cabinets when charging posts are on
site. The low voltage distribution board comprises a
main incoming breaker for grid connection, a battery
energy storage (BESS) feeder and the electric vehicle
site solution (EVSS) which provides advanced charging
functionalities. The ease of installation drastically
reduces the site activities in terms of manhours,
excavation and civil works activities. The EcoFlex
enclosure not only protects the high-power chargers
from vandalism, it can also be easily relocated. The
solution is prewired and tested at factory.
